Before I was diagnosed last year I knew very little about cancer. Once I was diagnosed I knew I wanted to face my illness head on, to “crush it” as my blog title suggests, but I had no idea what that would entail. As far as conventional medicine is concerned I have taken the most aggressive course of action. I have poisoned my cells through 20 rounds of chemo, had both breasts removed and gotten radiated: “poison, slash, burn” they call it. But for me, that is just where the crushing cancer journey begins. I would like to enjoy my life for as long as possible so I have tried to learn as much as I can about what steps I can take to reduce my cancer risk.
