Jon D’Angelo & the .44

Growing up, Jon was really into guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Steve Morse, Steve Vai, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He’d go to the underground music shop in my town and get all the bootlegs he could find . Eventually, he went to study at Berklee College in Boston. It’s a very focused environment. A hundred percent music. The classes were educational, but the all night jams were the real learning experiences for Jon. It was around this time that he also began to work on singing. After Boston, Jon moved to NYC, where he still is today. He performs solo, as a guitarist for others, and with his band, a power rock and blues trio that he’s dubbed “the .44.”
